We used two different techniques to create our black sheep. The first sheep was completed by fingerpainting some woolly curls and taking a print off of them. We used these as our sheep’s bodies. We had a precut head and ears that we then glued on when it was dry.
The second sheep we created in our Red Barn booklets. We glued some cotton wool balls into our books and then drew on other features such as the head and legs. We then painted our balls black in order to make our sheep black sheep. Of course we just had to sing Baa Baa Black Sheep. We also taught the children Baa Baa White Sheep which they found quite amusing.
