I love a good book, especially a good children’s book. I discovered Press Here by Herve Tullet last year and it fast became one of my favourite books. The concept behind the book is brilliant in it’s simplicity. It explores the concepts of colour, cause and effect and prepositions such as right and left, amongst others, in a delightful manner.
My class asks to read it over and over and the delight on their faces as they see each page unfold is magical. You can just see their little minds going, “How does it know we pressed it?” They especially like the page where the lights are turned off. I smile every time I hear the “ooohss and aahhhs”.
