My son is a wise old soul and he never ceases to make me smile with his quips and his insights into life in general.
“I love you, mum, ” he says. “I love you too,” I reply.
“Do you remember when we used to argue about who loves each other more?” he says.
“Yes. I love you to the moon and back, ” I say.
“I love you to all the worlds smash,” he says.
“I love you to infinity times infinity, ” I say.
“The worlds smashing is more you know. That’s when the world ends. When no more people are around.”
“Well infinity never ends you know. It goes on forever.”
“Well I love you to google infinity + 1 then. You know the world ends when all the people die.”
“Yeah but the people have babies and then there’s more people so there’s always people,” I muse.
“You get two lives you know. One here and one in heaven.”
And you know what, I think he’ll make me proud in both.
